In the Temple of Faith

The history of the “temple of faith” started in 1973, initially was started by Mataji at home, which gradually grew out to be the present temple. The mentor and guru of Mataji, Gyananand Guru of Tapovan, Cuddalore in Tamil Nadu, recognized the aura of Mataji in an instant and the rest is history. For Mataji, it was like the realization of Guru’s discovery of the power in her, and with the total support from her husband, Mr.Gajendra Achari, she decided to get trained in meditation to recognize and sharpen her skills. Spiritualism needs total dedication and devotion in one’s life as it is the saturated state of mind. So Gyananand Guru advised her to finish the Karma and all her duties to her husband and children, and to quit “Moha” so that she can take up “Kaavi”. So Mataji took her time to settle all her responsibilities for her family but performed the pujas at home with utmost sincerity under the guidance of the Guru, who in the process showed her the way to GOD and sharpened her skills. In the history of our country, the education system not just refers to the knowledge imparted by the gurus to the disciples, but also “gurudakshina”, wherein the disciple fulfills a wish of the guru. So gurudakshina for Mataji was a promise that “whatever she had learnt would never be used for herself or her family and children and shall be used for the welfare of the people”.
